TAKING ORDERS WHILE ONLINE OR ON THE ROAD
Only Aplicor provides an online, offline, Tablet PC and Pocket PC based Sales Order Entry module for real-time quoting and order taking. Aplicor makes customer information portable for traveling field representatives or mobile sales professionals. All customer, contact, activity and opportunity information can be retained and updated on a laptop computer (without Internet connectivity), Tablet PC or a Pocket PC. The ability to view and update client information while on an airplane, in a hotel or in a client's office is critical to capturing accurate data, eliminating redundant work or rekeying of data, and taking orders in a real-time fashion.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT WITH UP-SELL, CROSS-SELL OR SUBSTITUTE ITEM PROCESSING
 Aplicor's Sales Order Entry module is integrated with Inventory Management in order to facilitate up-sell, cross-sell and substitute item processes. Aplicor's Product Inventory tracks detailed product profiles, including substitute, cross-sell and up-sell items, user-defined product fields and a variable pricing model which manages quantity volume pricing, promotional pricing or even flexible pricing for individual customer classes or individual customers.
STEAMLINING THE ORDER ENTRY PROCESS
Sales Order Entry includes several advanced capabilities:
- Aplicor requires the least amount of data entry during the sales order entry process. Simply click 'New Order', select a product, specify the quantity and click the save button. Everything else can default
- Unlike many CRM products, Aplicor has the ability to directly enter an order without having to first create a sale opportunity
- Assign account specific product lists so the appropriate pricing is displayed during order entry
- Aplicor provides a product search capability for each order entry line item as opposed to a flat product drop down list as well as the functionality to toggle between product image thumbnails during order entry. By clicking on an image, users can view complete product information or a larger image of the product
- Aplicor presents cross-sell, up-sell and substitute products during the order entry process
- "Product Alerts" can be configured to display or advise users of low quantity on hand, stocks outs, backordered items or expected delivery delays
- Price list configuration allows management to create the business rules and system controls which determine those users who can modify item prices - also indicating the maximum mark-up or mark-down - during the quoting or sales order entry process
- Aplicor allows order line items to be entered using a bar code scanning device for faster and more accurate order entry
- Inventory and product item information may be pulled from an existing ERP or financial system through Aplicor's packaged XML Web services integrations or be created and maintained solely in the Aplicor system
- Products can be defined and grouped an unlimited number of product types and in a user-defined 'trees' or product hierarchies
- Management can define user, group or role based price override permissions for each product
- The system maintains multiple 'point in time' quotes for each sales cycle and opportunity (so that an audit trail of the selling process is preserved)
- Users may convert quotes to Microsoft Word, Excel or Adobe Acrobat documents for printing or e-mailing
- Outstanding quotes can be automatically "updated" with new pricing for promotions or specials
